Patch 0.5.0 has made farming feel a bit less brainless in Path of Exile 2. You can still make money by blasting maps, sure, but the better returns now come from picking a lane and sticking to it. If you're trying to build up Path of Exile 2 Currency without wasting half your night swapping plans, focus on content that scales well with density, boss access, or repeatable rewards. The big thing is simple: don't just run whatever appears. Shape your Atlas around what your build can clear quickly, then cut out the stuff that slows you down.

Breach and Delirium still carry strong map farming
Breach is still one of the safest picks for steady profit. It throws a lot of monsters at you, and that means more raw drops, more splinters, and more chances for useful crafting currency. Open maps feel much better here, because you're not fighting walls and dead ends while the Breach timer ticks away. Delirium is rougher, but the ceiling is higher. If your build moves fast and doesn't fall over when the screen gets messy, Delirium can stack rewards in a way normal mapping just can't. If your build is still shaky, though, don't force it. Dying twice in a map kills your profit faster than any bad drop streak.

Expedition is the boring farm that keeps paying
Expedition doesn't always feel flashy, but loads of players stick with it because the returns are easy to understand. You place explosives, pick the remnants that don't brick your build, and walk away with vendor currency, artifacts, and items people actually want. It's also a nice farm if you dislike relying on one huge drop. The money comes in smaller chunks, but it comes often. Atlas points that add more encounters, better artifact rewards, or extra explosive options are usually worth taking. Just read the modifiers. Everyone has blown up a remnant that made monsters immune to their damage at least once, and it's never fun.

Boss rushing works when your route is clean
Boss rushing has picked up value because certain boss drops and encounter pieces are moving well on the market. This isn't a full-clear strategy. You enter, grab what's useful on the way, kill the boss, and leave. Fast movement matters more than raw screen-wide damage here. Maps with short paths and easy boss access are the ones you want to repeat. If you're spending too long hunting the arena entrance, the whole plan starts to fall apart. It's also worth checking prices before committing for the night, because boss loot can swing hard when popular builds change.

Off-Atlas farms are useful when mapping gets stale
You don't have to live inside the Atlas to make decent money. Trials can be a good option while your map pool is weak or your character still needs gear. Reward chests, uniques, and steady currency drops make them better than many players expect. Fragment farming is another solid route, especially when people are pushing pinnacle encounters and need access materials. Targeted unique farming is more risky, but it can pay if one item becomes popular. If you'd rather skip some of the grind and u4gm for faster upgrades, it still helps to understand these farms so you know what the market is reacting to.
